About Ed
Ed is a dedicated lifelong resident of Lake George with a deep commitment to his community. After graduating from Lake George Central School in 1976, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Alfred University and an MBA from the College of St. Rose. Ed’s career as an educator at Minerva Central School spanned 32 years, during which he made a lasting impact on countless students before retiring in 2020.
Beyond education, Ed is the proud owner of The Barnsider BBQ restaurant, a local favorite, and shares his life and love for the Adirondacks with his wife, Melissa Pagnotta, who owns & operates Dreamweaver Group Travel. Ed's strong commitment to Lake George is evident in his active community involvement and support of local events.
Ed has coached high school athletics, served on numerous school and town committees, and is currently a member of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) committee and a board member of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce. His extensive experience and passion for his hometown drive his dedication to preserving Lake George’s unique character while thoughtfully managing its growth.
